When you do not feel like doing anything at home, but you have to cook, rajma recipe can be a good option. No matter if you have to make a meal for your big family, rajma will do. It is versatile so it goes with bread. If you love Asian food, your family will just love it. You do not have to prepare a lot because it can be done in the most emergency situation. Modifying dish is also possible. So, this is how it is done.

What You Need

Now, go to your kitchen and make sure you have got kidney beans that you have soaked overnight (1 cup). Then, tomato puree, chopped onions (2 medium size), oil (4 tbsp), 2 tbsp ginger garlic, 2 tbsp coriander, 1 tsp red chili powder, 1/2 cup tomato puree, 1 1/2 tsp masala salt powder, and 1 tbsp fresh chopped coriander leaves. 

If you do not have all of those ingredients of rajma recipe, ensure you get to Asian store. You can find all things you need. Now, let’s get to the steps. 

Steps

To begin, you have to drain the kidney beans. Then, wash them with fresh water. Put them into the pressure cooker. Get water (5 cups) and salt and add them into the cooker. Cook until 5-5 whistles. Afterwards, the cooking liquor has to be drained and reserved. Meanwhile, you can heat oil in a pan. Get onions and then sauté until it gets light brown.

Take paste of ginger-garlic and then sauté around 2 minutes. Take the coriander powder, red chili powder and cumin powder. Ensure they mix well before continuing to the next step. 

Next, you need to add tomato puree. Mix them again and sauté around 3-4 minutes. Take the kidney beans and ensure you mix well. Add cooking liquor (1 cup) and salt. Stir it well so it gets mixed. Last, mash the beans and then stir repeatedly. Take the masala salt powder. After that, mix and cook around 5 up to 7 minutes. Use coriander leaves as garnish. 

Now, you can have rajma. Serve it while still hot. This rajma recipe contains calories, carbs, protein and fats.
