Everybody is looking for bang bang shrimp recipe. It is not so surprising since this appetizer is heavenly tasty. There are many copycat recipes scattered out there, but not all of them are successful. Worry not. Here we have shrimp recipe that surely will never fail. With easy and clear instructions, you will be able to cook your own bang bang shrimp. With simple ingredients that can be easily found in the kitchen, you can make this recipe right away.
Ingredients:
- ¼ cup Thai sweet chili sauce
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ½ cup cornstarch
- 3 dash Sriracha sauce
- 1 lb medium shrimp, deveined
- 1 cup chopped green onion
- Lettuce leaves as needed
- Oil
Instructions:
- Whisk together the mayonnaise, Sriracha sauce and sweet chili sauce in a bowl. Leave it.
- Add cornstarch into a separate bowl and press the shrimp gently for coating. Shake if any excess.
- In deep fryer, heat up the oil up to 190 degrees Celsius.
- Fry the shrimp until it has nice color of light brown. It will take more or less 3 minutes. Pick it up and put into paper towels to drain the oil.
- Add the fried shrimp in a bowl and pour the sauce mixture. Coat them by tossing the bowl gently.
- Serve the shrimp in a serving bowl, add lettuce as you desire.
