Sopapilla Cheesecake Ingredients:

  • 1 ¾ cup white sugar
  • 2 packages cream cheese
  • 1 tsp Mexican vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ½ cup butter
  • 2 cans crescent rolls, refrigerated

Sopapilla Cheesecake Cooking Directions:

  1. Prepare 9 x 13 inch baking dish by spraying with cooking spray. Preheat the oven up to 175 degrees Celsius.
  2. Beat together cream cheese, vanilla extract and 1 cup sugar (leave the ¾ cup) until smooth. 
  3. Unroll the crescent dough. Using rolling pin, shape the dough into the same size as baking dish. You will need 2 layers of crescent.
  4. Spread the mixture of cream cheese into crescent surface and cover with the remaining dough.
  5. Stir ¾ cup sugar, butter and cinnamon. Put some dots in the top crescent.
  6. Bake until the dough puffed and turn into nice golden brown. It will take about 30 minutes. 
  7. Take the cheesecake and drizzle with honey. Cool down before cutting.

If you want to make a clean and well-cooked cheesecake, you can use aluminum foil. Besides, this foil can also keep the moist. To cook this Sopapilla cheesecake, you will need 15 minutes for preparation and 45 minutes of cooking time. It will be ready to eat in 3 hours (resting included).
